Meet the Pastor, Elder Jerome E. Ford

Elder Dr. Jerome E. Ford has been carrying His cross before he was formed in his mother’s womb. When Elder Ford answered God’s call, the anointing was already there. As he matured Spiritually, his transformation was uttered into this new experience, God began to till and prune him and when he touched him with that finger of love, he gave him that hunger and that thirst that developed him into a mighty, full-fledged, powerful, and fully committed Disciple of God.

You won’t find him idle on the corner with the boys or hanging out late at night at the clubs. You won’t hear him putting a brother down for he is as Barnabas – a profound ‘Encourager’. You won’t hear him bragging about his accomplishments, for he knows the only degree that matters in this life is the BAC – A Born Again Christian. For he is not about foolishness, and feels that we only have a little time in this life to get it right on this side.

However, you will find him weeping as Jeremiah for the lost souls of man. You will find him bending over to pick a brother up, or reaching to the debts of his pockets to share his last dollar with a stranger.  You can always find him exercising God’s gift of singing Gospel of old, even while he works. You will also find him conducting a full worship service, teaching, and preaching every Sunday morning at Mt. Horeb P.B. Church. You will undoubtedly find him studying day & night the Word of God to ensure he does not lead people falsely, and last but not least, you will find him knee bent and body bowed thanking the Lord for all his grace and mercy.

Elder Dr. Ford is a graduate of Smith Chapel Bible University and Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, holding both Masters and Doctorate Degrees in Theology and Church Administration.

He is married to Sandra Stover Ford, and between them, they have four adult children, and two grandchildren. He is the 7th child out of 10, born to the late Senia H. Ford and Washington Ford, Sr.
